On August 13, 2024, the halls of Imelda Integrated School in Barangay Imelda, Cabanatuan City, Nueva Ecija, buzzed with excitement as 54 pupils eagerly participated in a new and promising educational initiative. This significant event marked the launch of a Community Engagement and Outreach Program (CEOP) spearheaded by the Institute of Teacher Education (ITE). The program, supported by 12 dedicated ITE student volunteers, is set to make a lasting impact on the lives of these young learners.

CEOP Officer Mrs. Maria Victoria Victa captured the essence of the day with her inspiring words, "Ito na ang simula ng ating sama-samang pagsisikap para magkaroon ang mga batang ito ng magandang kinabukasan." Her statement resonated with the collective spirit of the community, as this initiative is seen as the first step in a shared journey toward a brighter future for these children.

The program, designed to provide personalized tutoring and mentorship, is not only a boon for the pupils but also a meaningful experience for the student volunteers from ITE. Ms. Everlina Navarro, one of the program’s facilitators, expressed her delight, saying, "Nakakatuwa sapagkat nagkakaroon ng kabuluhan ang pag-aaral ng mga estudyante ng ITE." The students' involvement in the program allows them to apply their learning in real-world settings, making their education more relevant and impactful.

The success of this initiative is a testament to the power of collaboration. CEOP Director Rene Boy Abiva highlighted the crucial role of key supporters in bringing this program to life. "Hindi mangyayari ang bagay na ito kung wala ang matibay na suporta ni Principal Rhoda Mangulabnan, Dekano Paolo T. Lumanlan ng ITE, at siyempre, ng aming pinakamamahal na presidente ng MVGFC, Dr. Joseph L. Gallego," he remarked. Their unwavering support has been instrumental in ensuring that the program could be implemented effectively, laying a strong foundation for its continued success.

Mrs. Virginia Adriano, the CEOP Coordinator at Imelda Integrated School, also voiced her deep commitment to the initiative. Her involvement underscores the shared dedication of the school and its partners to fostering educational excellence and uplifting the community.

As the program progresses, it promises to be a transformative experience for all involved, paving the way for a future where every child is given the opportunity to succeed. The launch at Imelda Integrated School is just the beginning, and with continued support, this initiative is poised to make a lasting difference in the lives of many more young learners. ###
